The Carpet Foundation
It is hard enough having to make up your mind about the colour, design or style of your new carpet, let alone being sure that your new carpet will perform as the manufacturer says it will. That is why The Carpet Foundation has just introduced the Quality Mark.
Endorsed and independently monitored by The Textile Institute, the worldwide professional body for textiles, the Quality Mark is your assurance that the carpet has been tested under the Suitability Evaluation System and has reached the suitability standard claimed by the manufacturer.
A non-profit making organisation, the Carpet Foundation is the UK carpet industry's lead body. Backed by 14 of the UK's top manufacturers and 1155 independent retailers. It undertakes the following activities on behalf of it's members:
• Generic marketing of carpet to the consumer through an integrated marketing communications campaign including TV and press advertising and public relations
• Lobbying and the wider representational role on Standards and in Europe
• Technical and Environmental issues
• The management of the CF Quality Mark
